The kids were in desperate need of a bunk bed. We only have 2 rooms, so all three kids are in one room. And because Brock was ready for the crib we needed a bunk bed now, so we could fit them all in their room. Josh also build shelves in there closet for all their toys, which saves a ton of room! 
Josh couldn't bare to spend what the stores were asking for bunk beds. He knew he could build them for alot less. So he got all the supplies and it really only took him 2 evenings to build them. He was really fast. And they look so good. I told him now that I know he can build stuff i am going to have him build all sorts of things. a head and floor board for us would be nice.
The kids LOVE their bunk beds. Josh and I do too. We are tempted to have a camp out in there room and try out their new beds. :) (poor Leah wears all Garretts old boy jammies.)

Garrett gets the top because he can get down by himself. The ladder is a little tricky for Leah still.

ReplyDeleteWay to go Josh. My husband built bunk bed for us too because he knew he could do it for less and that they would be much sturdier too. Your bunk bed look absolutely georgous. Love Aunt Colleen
