City of Rocks!!

I am finally blogging about our trip we took to the city of rocks. We as well as the rest of Josh's family all went over the 24th of July weekend! We had a BLAST! It was so good to be all together! -The pictures and i kind of got mixed up so they might be in a funky order.-

My brother and sister in law have really gotten into rock climbing so they have bought all the rope and harnesses. So we were able to do some rock climbing! it was really fun. we were able to find easy enough routes for all of us there to do.

Here is Josh: He tried this harder route and didn't quite make it all the way up. And when he fell because he wasn't right under the rope he swung over and got tangled in the rope for a minute. :)

Me: thinking i am pretty cool cause i'm rock climbing!! Oh and even Garrett got a chance to climb. He liked it til he got to the top. Aww, don't look down Garrett!! Thats about when he said 'i'm scared' and he came back down. Josh was there to encourage on the way up and once it was time to come down he had to pull Garrett and the rope down becuase Garrett didn't weigh enough to pull the rope down. Leah was so excited for her turn to climb!

Again the same story, Josh had to pull her down. Leah went all the way to the top!! there was a point that she just took off without Josh and Josh could reach her. It was pretty funny how fearless she was.

And Josh. He was quite a bit faster than i was!

I had to think about every move i made. :)

We got to do some hiking as well. Again we were able to find a hike easy enough for everyone to do. Here is Garrett at the beginning of the hike. Excited and ready to go, with snacks!

BUT it didn't take him long to get wore out. He isn't used to hiking and I had to pretty much force him to walk. I did hold him a bit through the whole thing.

Leah did want to be held some, but she did better than Garrett! :)

The whole crew on the hike: Trish was nice enough to carry Brock in the pack she and James bought me so i could be free to wrestle my other two. Aren't we all so cute?

Josh took the kids up to try and see if he could find the place to hook the rope and climb on this rock.
